These laws were not the least bit fair, entirely none of Hammurabis laws could be changed unless the pot were told. impartiality number 3 is, If anyone brings an accusation of any aversion before the elders, and does not erect what he has charged, he shall, if it be a large(p) wickedness charged, be put to death. To me this means, If mortal is brought in front of a judge charged of a law-breaki ng it is up to that someone to prove his innocence or he allow be put to death, if the hatred is a murder offense or capital crime. I sound off that this law is a good law. I work out this because If you ar spare, you should be able to prove it, but then again, you mogul not be able to prove it and then you will be killed for no reason. I dont think this law is very fair. I think that this law couldnt be used right away because we be supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. Which means, you are innocent no matter what, until they find proven facts or conclusion stating that you in fact, guilty. So you wont be killed if you bank prove your self to be innocent, unless they can prove that you are guilty. Law number 4 is, If he satisfies the elders to impose a comely of grain or money, he shall, if it be a capital offense charged, to put to death. To me this means, If he can prove to the elders that his crime should only be punished by a fine, he will get fine based on what the crime was, so if he debase some! ones get hold of off, they would cut his hand off.
